About the Duck Race
What’s a Duck Race?
That’s what you get when thousands of little yellow rubber ducks are dropped into the ocean and swim furiously to shore with each duck’s owner hoping that his duck washes ashore early to win him fame, glory and fabulous prizes.
Why would we do such a nutty thing?
In support of the St. Augustine Relay For Life, this event is designed to raise funds and community awareness to fight cancer. This is the fourth year that we’ve rallied the greater St. Augustine community together to enjoy good food, music, games and a truly hilarious duck race! The event promises a wonderful day at the beach, the chance to win prizes, and the certainty of helping fund a cure for cancer.

Fighting cancer is a team effort. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone. The Pirates are Coming
St. Augustine’s own band of pirates, St. Augustine Swashbucklers are joining forces with Georgia’s most feared pirates, The Cursed Few, to make our 2009 Duck Race unforgettable!
